SELLING VISAS AND POSTING JOB OPENINGS ON SOCIAL MEDIA

 Kuwait City: The number of requests to look for and buy residency permits, as well as to transfer work permits, has surged on social media. This is in light of the labour market's resumption and recovery, as well as the need for people in commercial establishments, following the repeal of the COVID-19 restrictions that had been in place for the previous two years. Advertisements for the selling of residency permits follow a different pattern. 


The bogus firms or delegations advertise residency permits and the transfer of government or commercial contracts. Those looking for work look for these "phantom" businesses by placing ads in newspapers requesting that their contracts be transferred to other companies if they do not work and promise to pay a fee.
