THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH HAS UPDATED ITS COVID-19 PROTOCOL

Kuwait City: The Ministry of Health has amended the rules for dealing with COVID-19 patients in hospitals and specialised centres, following an improvement in the epidemiological situation in Kuwait and a drop in the rate of clinical occupancy in wards and intensive care units.

The modified policy, titled "return to normal," outlines the steps that must be done to deal with patients, particularly those who have COVID-19. It was suggested that waiting facilities for COVID patients and others be integrated into the emergency reception area, rather than having separate waiting sections.

The protocol stated that swab tests will not be required for everyone, but only for those suspected of being infected. It revealed that, if a person is infected, there is no need to quarantine those in contact with him/her, and there is no need to carry out a swab test on them if they do not show symptoms.
