ABDOMINAL AORTIC ANEURYSM TREATMENT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN KUWAIT USING INTERNAL ULTRASOUND

Kuwait City:  A Kuwaiti doctor has successfully performed the first operation in the country to treat abdominal aortic aneurysm by catheterization using a state-of-the-art internal ultrasound. He has successfully used the latest technology to replace the intravenous dyke, which can cause complications in some kidney patients. Performed by Abdullah Al Fawaz. 


He is the Consultant Vascular and General Surgeon at Mubarak Hospital. Abdullah Al Fawaz. The surgery was performed on an 80-year-old patient who suffered from aortic aneurysm and abdominal bleeding. The doctor said the method had been successfully used more than once in the United States. But this is the first time such a surgery has been tried in Kuwait. Mubarak underwent a two-hour operation at a hospital. Al-Fawaz said the patient's health had improved after the operation.
