Kuwait City: Nationals and residents in Kuwait began to plan their Eid Al-Fitr vacations, which appear to be thriving in the last few months as the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic subsides. Several tourism experts stated that this year's Eid tourists from Kuwait chose the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and Egypt as their top destinations for the long holiday, noting that flight tickets were in high demand. According to the experts, the price of tickets had increased by 70 to 150 percent in some situations.

The available ticket pricing for Eid Al-Fitr had been thoroughly researched, according to Wael Al-Hasawi, Kuwait Airways' Director of Corporate Communication and Public Relations, who added that they had to expand flights during Eid to accommodate more people. According to Al-Hasawi, Kuwaiti travellers are looking for new places such as Nice in France, Mykonos in Greece, Salalah in Oman, Izmir in Turkey, and others. Hussain Al-Sulaiteen, a member of the board of the Kuwait Union of Tourism and Travel Agencies, stated that ticket costs had increased by 150 percent, averaging between KD 300 and 400. (around USD 979.6 to USD 1,306).

He projected that more people will choose to fly with Kuwait Airways this summer due to the addition of additional destinations, and he said that consumers prefer direct flights over layovers. According to Al-Sulaiteen, people were looking for new places to visit, such as Georgia, because of the low ticket prices, which currently ranged from KD 165 to 180. (USD 538.7 to USD 587.7). In terms of popular Kuwait Airways destinations, he expected an increase in ticket demand for places such as Manchester, UK, and Casablanca, Morocco. According to Nasib Adnan, a local travel booker, there has been a significant increase in the price of travel tickets this Eid.

Adnan indicated that the price had increased by 70% compared to the week preceding Eid Al-Fitr. He confirmed that the number of travellers would rise as more destinations were added by companies such as Kuwait Airways. According to a recent International Aviation Transport Association (IATA) report, air travel increased last February compared to January 2021 due to the end of the COVID-19 epidemic. According to the IATA statistics, travel climbed by 115.9 percent in February compared to the same month in 2021. According to the research, travel activity in the Middle East grew by 215.3 percent last February compared to the same period the previous year.
