SMUGGLING MAFIA HAS MADE KUWAIT A TARGET

Kuwait City: The CEO of the National Drug Prevention Project, Ahmadi Health District Director Dr. Ahmed Al Shati, was cautioned. The smuggling mafia has made Kuwait a target. The warning is that Kuwait has become not only a drug smuggler, but also a drug-abusing country.


He was presenting at the 37th International Conference on Anti-Drugs, which was organized by Project 'Gross'. Global estimations predict that 285 million individuals will be consuming drugs by 2020. It is home to around 5% of the world's population. Add to that the fact that around 500,000 people worldwide are killed by pharmaceuticals each year. According to Al-Shatti, the worldwide drug trade has surpassed $ 500 billion.
