EVERY YEAR, OVER 5,OOO KUWAITIS TRAVEL TO THAILAND FOR TREATMENT BY GOVERNMENT

Kuwait City:  It is estimated that approximately 5,000 Kuwaitis are treated annually at Bumrengrad Hospital in Thailand. Amal Radi, Senior Director of International Relations at Bumrangrad Hospital, said that most of the Kuwaitis who come to Bumrangrad, which is known as the American hospital in Thailand, come there through the government. The main point of contact for any patient referred to Bumrengrad Hospital is the Kuwaiti Embassy and the Kuwaiti Military Office in Thailand.


The hospital has assigned a team to coordinate with the Kuwaiti Embassy in Bangkok and the Kuwaiti Military Office to ensure all patient matters during treatment. Bumrengrad Hospital is one of the largest private hospitals in Southeast Asia. It is located in the heart of Bangkok. Most patients are referred here for problems like cancer, heart disease and neurosurgery.
