Kuwait City: On Monday and Tuesday, the State of Kuwait will host a forum to discuss methods of drying up terrorism resources and exchange data in this regard among regional and international stakeholders, including the United States of America.

The workshop will shed light on issues concerning digital coins and affiliate risks, according to Hamad Al-Meshaan, minister plenipotentiary for development affairs and international cooperation. Al-Meshann stated that the forum will bring together representatives from the member countries at the Terrorist Financing Targeting Center (TFTC). The TFTC was established in 2017 as a body to address emerging threats and hazards, specifically terrorist financing. The United States of America and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia co-chair it.

The centre, which had already sanctioned individuals and groups linked to terrorism, was established to strengthen multilateral efforts between the United States and Gulf countries, including Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), to combat regional money laundering and terrorist financing networks. Members of the TFTC combat these networks in three ways: identifying, tracking, and sharing information about terrorist financing networks; coordinating joint disruptive actions; and providing capacity-building training and assistance in countering terrorist financing.
