According to officials, at least 10 people have died in Florida, and as Hurricane Ian gains strength, the death toll is expected to rise. The category one storm, according to Joe Biden, could be the deadliest hurricane in Florida history and cause a "substantial loss of life."

According to the National Hurricane Center, Ian is currently moving inland and "taking aim" at North and South Carolina. About 2.2 million homes and businesses in Florida are under a blackout.

According to officials, some residents of Orlando have been trapped in their homes by the flood waters, and the National Guard is going door to door to rescue them. The south-west Charlotte County, which experienced strong winds, is where all 10 fatalities that have been confirmed occurred.
