KUWAIT CALLS ON INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY TO PUT AN END TO ISRAEL'S FLAGRANT VIOLATIONS OF INTERNATIONAL LAW

Kuwait City: Kuwait called on the international community today, Friday, to assume its responsibilities to stop the flagrant violations of international human rights law carried out by the Israeli occupation against the brotherly Palestinian people for more than seven decades.


This came in a statement by Kuwait's permanent representative to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva, Ambassador Nasser Al-Hayen, delivered via video conference during the public debate in the Human Rights Council on the human rights situation in the occupied Arab territories.

Ambassador El-Hayen stressed that the Palestinian issue remains a focal point of instability in the Middle East, as after more than 70 years the demands are still continuing without achieving tangible progress to end this human tragedy.

He pointed out that Kuwait is deeply concerned about the continuing state of tension, stressing that stability will not be achieved unless the Palestinian people achieve all their legitimate rights in accordance with the international foundations and references represented in the Arab Peace Initiative and international legitimacy resolutions, Including Resolution 2334 and all other relevant resolutions and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the borders before the fourth of June 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

At the same time, Ambassador El-Hayen stressed the need for concerted efforts by the international community to stop these violations and stop the Israeli occupation' reflexion in violating all international demands, the most prominent of which was the recent storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque squares by settlers in an explicit violation of the most basic rules of international law, which Kuwait immediately condemned. their occurrence.
