Israel-Palestine war: China says Israel's actions went "beyond self-defense"

Wang Yi, the Chinese foreign minister, has spoken out against the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. The war between the two sides has resulted in the death of over 2,670 people in Gaza, mostly civilians, and the destruction of whole neighborhoods. Wang Yi said that Israel's actions went "beyond self-defense" and urged the country to stop its oppression of the people in Gaza.
