Kuwait was placed 88th worldwide and eighth in the Arab region in terms of the percentage of smokers in the population, standing at 9.17 percent. This information comes from a study conducted by the American platform Wisevoter, which ranked 158 countries. The study highlighted that some countries have significantly high rates of smoking, with Nauru leading the list with almost half of its population (48.50 percent) being smokers. Following Nauru, Myanmar ranked second with 44.1 percent, and Serbia came in third with 39.8 percent.
