Ministry of Justice: 16,000 travel bans within 2 months

The most recent data from the Travel Ban Section of the Enforcement Department at the Ministry of Justice reveals that around 16,000 travel bans were enforced on both citizens and expatriates in the months of January and February this year. Moreover, there were 8,033 orders issued to revoke travel bans, along with 917 requests for one time travel. 


In January, a total of 6,642 travel ban orders were issued, whereas in February, the number rose to 9,006. Similarly, the orders to lift travel bans in January amounted to 6,642, while in February, they decreased to 3,811. During the mentioned period, the governorate of Al-Ahmadi had the highest number of travel ban orders, reaching 4,321.
