Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department in Salmiya apprehended three expatriates involved in bootlegging. According to Al-Seyassah daily, the suspects were seized in Salmiya with 213 bottles of locally made alcohol in their possession. The individuals were caught in the act as they were trying to move the bottles from a taxi to another vehicle. Upon questioning, the bootleggers admitted to producing alcohol for profit, disclosing that they sold each bottle for 10 dinars, offering home delivery service.
