From the 20th to the 26th of this month, the General Traffic Department recorded a total of 1,542 traffic accidents, out of which 248 were classified as serious accidents. In addition, there were 1,394 minor accidents that fortunately did not result in any injuries or fatalities.
The weekly statistics revealed that a total of 23,744 traffic violations were issued. Furthermore, the traffic police apprehended 35 juveniles for driving vehicles without valid driving licenses, and 36 individuals were detained for committing severe violations.
As part of their campaigns across the six governorates of Kuwait, the traffic police referred 200 vehicles and motorcycles to the vehicle impound garage.
