The visit of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad to Cairo Yesterday embodied the strength of the close ties between Kuwait and the Arab Republic of Egypt, which derive their strength from the unique and distinguished historical relations between the two brotherly countries and the conformity of their visions regarding regional and international issues. This visit received wide Egyptian attention, both officially and popularly, as it was His Highness the Emir’s first to Egypt since he assumed the reins of power, and because it reflects the bond between the two countries.
His Highness the Amir and the Egyptian President agreed on the necessity of reaching an immediate and sustainable ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and facilitating safe, adequate and sustainable access to humanitarian aid for the Palestinian people.
