The Sentence Enforcement General Department, under the leadership of Judge Abdullah Al-Othman at the Ministry of Justice, has been diligently working to safeguard public funds by enforcing court rulings across various governorates and Kuwait International Airport. Recent data from the ministry indicates that in the first quarter of 2024, 22,897 individuals, both citizens and expatriates, were prevented from traveling, while the travel restrictions of 11,654 individuals were lifted. Among those whose travel bans were lifted, 1,122 citizens were Kuwaitis who required a one-time trip and posed no risk of fleeing or seeking medical treatment abroad. Ahmadi Governorate reported the highest number of travel bans during this period, followed by Farwaniya, Hawally, Capital, and Mubarak Al-Kabeer.
