The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy has received the approval of Qatar to supply Kuwait with 200 megawatts during the month of next June, bringing the total energy that Kuwait will import from the Gulf interconnection network to a capacity of 500 megawatts, after a similar approval from the Sultanate of Oman for 300 megawatts.
Informed sources told Al-Rai, “The Ministry received the approval of the Gulf Interconnection Authority regarding Qatar’s approval to supply Kuwait with 200 megawatts during the month of June, which can be renewed during the months of July and August, according to the conditions of the Qatari and Kuwaiti networks.”
