The Cassation Court has upheld a sentence of four years of imprisonment with labor for a worker at the Residency Affairs Department. The worker was convicted of receiving a 500-dinar bribe from a Pakistani resident to speed up an entry visa process. The offense took place in June of last year, after the Residence Affairs Investigation Department received a tip about the worker's participation in bribery. She was caught in a well-documented ambush, backed by audio and video proof, and later handed over to the Public Prosecution.
