Customs officers, in the Customs Research and Investigation Department at Air Customs, in cooperation with the General Administration for Narcotics Control, were able to seize a shipment containing approximately 26.5 kilograms of marijuana and hashish coming from Europe, last Thursday.
While searching through the Micro Clear program, the automated customs system, a package was suspected of coming from a European country as personal luggage via one of the shipping companies. Accordingly, the shipment was stopped and the package was searched, and it turned out that there were two bags containing clothes and a number of large capsules hidden. They contained hashish and marijuana and the seized items weighed approximately 26.5 kilograms. Accordingly, the accused was arrested, and the seized items were referred to the competent authorities.
