The inspection tour in the Khaitan area of Farwaniya Governorate, conducted by the Joint Committee for Monitoring Bachelors’ Housing, which consists of representatives from the Kuwait Municipality and the Ministries of Interior, Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, has revealed 93 homes being illegally used as expat bachelors’ housing within private and model housing areas. As part of the operation, Muhammad Al-Jalawi, the head of the Kuwait Municipality team, informed the Kuwait News Agency that electricity supply was disconnected from 13 properties found to be in violation. Al-Jalawi emphasized the importance of property owners exercising social responsibility and complying with regulations to ensure the security and safety of these housing units, highlighting the prevalence of building violations and excessive electrical loads in these expat bachelors’ accommodations.
