The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy issued a statement regarding the power outage in some parts of the six governorate regions. The Ministry said that the power outage came as a result of the inability of electric power generation stations to meet the increasing demand for electrical loads during the peak period, in addition to the high temperatures compared to the same periods in previous years.
Out of the Ministry’s keenness to protect the stability of the electrical system; It has taken some precautionary measures, including programmed interruption for periods ranging from one to two hours maximum. The Ministry calls on valued customers of all categories to rationalize electricity consumption during peak times, from 11 a.m to 5 p.m, with the aim of reducing electrical loads, so that the Ministry does not regrettably have to take the same procedures mentioned above if the need arises.
