A man has been sentenced by the Criminal Court to a total of 22 years in prison with hard labor for the following crimes: beating his wife to death in Omariya, consuming drugs, and destroying police vehicles. According to the case files, the court has given him a 10-year prison sentence for battery without intent to kill and depriving the victim of her freedom. Additionally, he has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for drug consumption and two years for damaging police vehicles while trying to escape arrest. It has been reported that a 25-year-old Iraqi woman was brutally murdered in Omariya by her 30-year-old Bedoun husband. He mercilessly beat her until she died and then dumped her body in front of Farwaniya Hospital before fleeing. The detectives managed to apprehend him after a long chase from the Jahra stables to Farwaniya, during which he caused damage to three police vehicles.
