As of the conclusion of the first quarter of 2024, the Central Bureau of Statistics reported approximately 789,000 domestic workers, reflecting a 1.1% increase from the 780,000 workers recorded at the end of the first quarter of 2023, as highlighted by Al Jarida newspaper.
This workforce is comprised of around 423,000 female workers and approximately 366,000 male workers. The Philippines holds the leading position in female employment with about 175,000 workers, a decrease from 205,000 at the end of the first quarter of 2023, while India remains at the forefront of male labor with approximately 248,000 workers, a slight increase from 247,000 at the end of the first quarter of 2023.
