Meteorologist Issa Ramadan stated that there has been a notable increase in the intensity of summer thunderstorms occurring in various distinct regions of the Gulf countries.
Ramadan attributed the reason for the occurrence of violent summer thunderstorms to the increase in water vapor evaporating from the surrounding bodies of water, such as the Arabian Gulf, the Arabian Sea, the Red Sea, and the Mediterranean Sea, and the rise in temperatures in the upper layers of the atmosphere, which now retain a greater amount of water vapor, including an increase in the amount of rainfall.
