Report: US Provided $210 Billion in Military Aid to Israel During Gaza Conflict

A report from Brown University's "Costs of War Project" states that the United States provided approximately $210 billion in military aid to Israel over a two-year period of conflict in Gaza. According to the findings, the first year saw $179 billion in aid, followed by $38 billion in the second year. The report argues that without this extensive financial and military support from the U.S., Israel would lack the capacity to carry out such a large-scale military campaign.

The aid was delivered through various channels, with over $81.2 billion designated as "Foreign Military Financing." An additional $50 billion was allocated for missile defense systems, and $44 billion was spent on providing other military equipment. This support is cited as a critical enabler of the ongoing military operations.

The Vatican has strongly condemned the violence in Gaza, with officials stating that what is happening is not a war but a "genocide." Vatican State Secretary Cardinal Pietro Parolin criticized the international community for its failure to prevent the crisis, emphasizing that the offensive is "inhumane and indefensible" and that the principle of proportionality has been violated, with defenseless civilians bearing the brunt of the attacks.
