Dubai is set to host a breathtaking spectacle that combines cutting-edge drone technology, dazzling fireworks, and awe-inspiring skydiving stunts tonight, December 13. The show will take place over Bluewaters and The Beach, JBR, offering residents and tourists a visual treat that redefines aerial entertainment.
This unique performance features 150 pyro drones—firework-equipped drones—lighting up the night sky in perfect synchrony with elite skydivers from Skydive Dubai. The skydivers, leaping from 10,000 feet, will perform gravity-defying stunts, enhanced by illuminated suits and manually controlled pyrotechnics, creating a mesmerizing “dance” in the air.
Marco Niedermeier, CEO of AO Multimedia and Drones, emphasized the technical brilliance of the event. “With our fleet of 6,000 drones and a world-class team of designers and pilots, we’ve choreographed an extraordinary show under the artistic direction of Jan Ising,” he said. The drones, equipped with advanced engines and software, integrate fireworks and LED displays to deliver stunning 3D animations, even in challenging weather conditions.
The event is part of the Dubai Shopping Festival’s 30th-anniversary celebrations, with additional shows scheduled for January 11. Regular DSF drone performances will continue twice daily at 8 PM and 10 PM, showcasing over 1,000 drones in a seamless visual symphony.
As Kaltham Al Shamsi from DFRA remarked, “This show captures three decades of unforgettable moments and milestones, transforming Dubai’s skyline into a stage of innovation and creativity.”
