Saudi Public Prosecution approves remote work, launches reforms to speed up justice delivery

Authorities in Saudi Arabia have introduced a series of administrative reforms aimed at enhancing efficiency and accelerating justice delivery within the prosecution system. The decisions were taken during a meeting of the Saudi Public Prosecution, chaired by Public Prosecutor Dr. Khalid Al Youssef.

Among the key changes is the official approval of remote work for prosecution staff, designed to improve flexibility and create a more supportive working environment. Officials believe this move will boost productivity while modernising internal operations.

A dedicated office will also be established under the Financial Fraud Reports Reception and Processing Centre to handle fraud-related complaints more efficiently. The initiative aims to strengthen oversight and ensure quicker responses to financial crime cases.

Additionally, new regulations have been introduced to streamline the transfer and deputation of prosecution members, allowing better use of expertise. The council also approved the appointment of more personnel and promotions for several officers to enhance operational capacity.

Authorities said these reforms are part of a broader effort to modernise the justice system and ensure faster, more effective legal processes.
