30,000 TRAFFIC TICKETS ISSUED, 9 EXPATS DEPORTED: MINISTRY OF INTERIOR

Kuwait City :Traffic safety campaigns have recently been launched to track down careless drivers and traffic offenders who endanger the lives of passengers.. As a result of the investigations, 30,954 traffic offenses were registered. 12 motor vehicles were seized, 93 offenders were sent to the detention center of the General Traffic Department, 52 minors were sent to the Juvenile Prosecution Office, 10 vehicles of security and judicial authorities were seized and 9 expatriates were selected for deportation proceedings for driving without a driving license.


In the weekly statistics released by the Traffic Operations Sector ,The Haveli Traffic Department topped the list with 6,071 cases, followed by Al Ahmadi Traffic Department with 5,422 cases. The Farwaniya Traffic Department registered 5012 cases, the Al-Jahra Traffic Department 4704 cases, the Capital Governorate 4,384 cases, followed by the Mubarak Al Kabir Traffic Department 2262 cases.

Statistics show that traffic patrol officers were able to arrest 52 minors who were driving without a driver's license. The General Directorate of Emergency Police conducted 625 security operations last week, recorded 1130 traffic offenses, handled 54 traffic accidents and arrested 38 people without personal identification.
