MEDICALl ERROR: COURT ORDERED TO GIVE 20,000 DINAR COMPENSATION

Kuwait City :An administrative court has ordered the health ministry to pay 20,000 dinars to an expatriate woman who was affected during a caesarean section.The verdict comes in the wake of a young woman losing 15% of her physical capacity due to medical malpractice and losing the possibility of having children in the future.


Zaid al-Kabbas, a lawyer representing the young woman, said the doctor who tried to deliver the baby by caesarean section dragged  her  into  a  situation where she lost  15 percent of her body capacity due to a medical error as a result of not following proper procedures and was unlikely to become a mother in the future.He also presented to the court a report that his client had been examined by an expert in the forensic medicine department and proved his case to be correct.
