Kuwait City :Kuwaiti astronomer Adel Al-Saadoun said, Thursday, May 13, would mark the first day of the month of Shawwal, and Eid al-Fitr.Adel Al-Saadoun reported that on Wednesday 30 Ramadan, corresponding to May 12, and listed the conditions for observing the crescent, The sun sets at 6:32 pm, the moon would be visible at 7:12 in the evening, the duration of the moon’s stay above the horizon after sunset is 39 minutes, and the height of the moon above the horizon at sunset is 7 and a half degrees, and the elongation, which is the angle between the moon and the earth, is 9 degrees and 18 minutes.He further added that the width of the moon will be 12 seconds, and it may not be seen with the naked eye.He indicated that he would see with the naked eye in western Saudi Arabia and the rest of the Arab Maghreb countries.
