STRANDED STUDENTS FATE IN LIMBO

KUWAITCITY: As the Ministry of Education decided to hold the end of- year exams inthe conventional paper-based manner, the fate of 12th-grade students strandedin their countries remains obscure. Several academicians have recommended theministry conduct a special examination for these students in mid-September orat the beginning of October, the Ministry is considering the proposal. 

 

The Ministry stated that the decision will be taken withdue consideration of the interests of the students. Therefore if therecommendations are accepted by the ministry, guidelines, and procedures ofsuch a special examination will be released by the government which will alsorequire the students to submit proof stating their absence in the countryduring the time frame provided. 

 

Meanwhile, the Director-General of Hawally EducationalZone Walid bin Ghaith announced the launch of virtual learners’ care centersand the start of lessons for 12th-grade students of science and arts sectionsin the schools of Hawally Governorate. The centers will operate from Saturdayto Thursday, and 60 revising lessons of the main subjects will be presented,which is five lessons per day over a period of two weeks. 

 

The educational zone is enthusiastic to give this freeservice for students to help them revise their lessons and solve questions fromthe 12th-grade exam banks for their better understanding. Due to the technicalbearings of the classes, the best faculty are chosen to take classes, inaddition to their daily follow-up of the work they did each day.
