Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi has demanded that all students should present a negative result of a nasal PCR or saliva test taken within 14 days of returning to school. This condition applies to students of all ages and to those who have been vaccinated.

In addition to students, teachers, administrative staff, and other staff must comply. The PCR test is mandatory under the direction of the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Science (ADEC). The school will reopen later this month. Free PCR testing system will be set up at designated centers for students and staff above 12 years of age in each school. You can also inspect other centers at your own expense.

Children under the age of 12 can get a free PCR test at private and government testing centers in Abu Dhabi. They may choose the salivary gland test (saliva test) or the nasal test for salivary glands. Students arriving for the test must present an Emirates ID. Health workers need to be convinced that this is a covid test for school admission. The intervals at which the PCR test is to be performed will be announced later.
