VISA RENEWAL OF EXPATRIATES OVER 60 YEARS OF AGE, FATWA COMMITTEE SAYS DECISION IS INVALID

Kuwait City: The Fatwa Legislation Committee has ruled that the ban on renewing the residency of expatriates over the age of 60 in Kuwait who do not have a high school education qualification will not be legal. This was stated by the head of the committee Salah Al Saud.

In August last year, the Human Resources Committee issued a notification banning the renewal of residency records for expatriates over the age of 60 who do not have a high school education qualification. The decision took effect earlier this year.

There were several suggestions that this should be amended. The Fatwa Legislation Committee stated that the decision was not legal in this case.
