Kuwait City:The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has officially launched the new “Meteorology” service through Kuwait’s government e-services platform, the “Sahl” app, as part of its commitment to deliver fast, reliable weather information to the public.
In a statement, the DGCA confirmed that the new service is designed to help citizens and residents easily access a wide range of weather data — including daily forecasts, marine conditions, weather warnings, and prayer times — all through a convenient digital interface.
The department stressed that this initiative is part of Kuwait’s broader digital transformation strategy, aimed at improving community preparedness for weather fluctuations, especially amid increasing climate change challenges.
By integrating the Meteorology service into the popular Sahl app, the DGCA hopes to make essential weather details more accessible to everyone, helping people plan ahead, stay safe, and respond proactively to weather-related events.
