Kuwait City:The Chief of the Kuwait Fire Force, Major General Talal Al-Roumi, conducted an inspection tour at the Al-Muhallab Marine Rescue Center to assess its operational readiness for securing marine areas and public parks.
In a statement issued by the Fire Force, Major General Al-Roumi praised the center’s staff for their high level of preparedness and commitment to handling marine incidents efficiently, ensuring the safety of beachgoers and park visitors throughout the summer.
He was received by Brigadier General Badr Saif, Director of the Fire and Maritime Rescue Department, and the tour included an inspection of the naval point on a nearby island.
Opened in November 2020, the Al-Muhallab Center was established to enhance marine rescue coverage in Kuwait’s southern regions, particularly Sabah Al-Ahmad Marine, given its growing population and proximity to popular islands like Umm Al-Maradim and Qaruh. The meetings focused on strengthening international coordination and exchanging expertise in civil protection and emergency response.
On the sidelines, the delegation met with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Emergency Situations, Kamaladdin Heydarov, to discuss opportunities for bilateral cooperation and knowledge exchange in crisis and disaster management, underscoring both countries’ commitment to boosting collaboration and enhancing emergency preparedness.
