Kuwait and India have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the civil aviation sector. The agreement was finalized during a high-level meeting in New Delhi between Sheikh Hamoud Al-Mubarak, President of Kuwait’s Directorate-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), and Samir Kumar, Undersecretary of India’s Ministry of Civil Aviation.
The MoU aims to deepen coordination and expand strategic partnership in air transport, enabling both countries to meet growing traveler demand and adapt to the evolving aviation landscape. Key points discussed included increasing flight frequencies, sharing technical expertise, and enhancing service quality, safety standards, and regulatory frameworks.
The meeting was attended by senior Kuwaiti officials, including Kuwait’s Ambassador to India, Mishal Al-Shamali; Captain Abdul Mohsen Al-Faqan, Chairman of Kuwait Airways; Marwan Boodai, Chairman of Jazeera Airways; and representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Kuwait’s DGCA.
Officials emphasized that this new agreement will pave the way for closer collaboration between Kuwait and India’s aviation sectors, boosting connectivity, improving operational efficiency, and offering greater convenience for travelers and airlines alike.
