Kuwait's Customs Investigation and Search Department, in coordination with Kuwait Airport Customs, has successfully thwarted a drug smuggling attempt involving a European traveler arriving from London's Heathrow Airport. Acting on received intelligence, authorities placed the suspect under surveillance from the moment he entered the customs hall.
The investigation led to the initial discovery of 312 grams of hashish in the passenger's possession. Subsequently, the individual was transferred to Farwaniya Hospital where medical procedures confirmed he had internally concealed additional narcotics. The total seizure amounted to 412 grams of hashish that the traveler attempted to smuggle into the country using his body as concealment. The operation demonstrates Kuwait's ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking through enhanced surveillance and inter-agency coordination at entry points.
