The Dubai Run 2025 has set a new participation record with 307,000 runners transforming Sheikh Zayed Road into the world's largest running track. The massive turnout, which included substantial Indian and Malayali communities, exceeded last year's record of 278,000 participants and represented the culmination of the 30-day Dubai Fitness Challenge initiated by Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed.
The event saw Dubai's iconic 14-lane highway converted into a "sea of blue" as runners in light blue T-shirts filled the roadway, passing landmarks including the Museum of the Future, Emirates Tower, Dubai Opera, and Burj Khalifa. The Dubai Metro began operations at 3 AM to accommodate the massive influx of participants, with women, children, and elderly residents joining company employees and families from across the emirates. The event featured both 5km and 10km routes, with Dubai Police supercars and Talabat delivery riders adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the record-breaking community fitness initiative.
