Abu Dhabi: The General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat has officially launched a new Hajj campaign selection system for the upcoming 1447H (2026) Hajj season, aimed at enhancing the quality, organization, and reliability of services provided to UAE pilgrims.

The updated system sets out stricter accreditation standards that all Hajj campaign operators must meet to receive approval. These include demonstrating strong service delivery, sound administrative structures, and solid financial readiness.

In addition to meeting these new requirements, campaign organizers will be evaluated based on their performance during the 1446H (2025) Hajj season, ensuring that only experienced and capable operators serve UAE pilgrims.

At a recent coordination meeting, the authority briefed Hajj organizers about the new framework, stressing the need to strike a balance between affordability and high-quality service.

Officials explained that the goal is to boost competitiveness among licensed operators, motivating them to deliver excellent services, adhere to approved schedules, and ensure pilgrims have a smooth and stress-free Hajj journey.

By setting clear criteria and monitoring performance, the General Authority aims to protect pilgrims’ rights, uphold safety standards, and maintain the UAE’s reputation for excellence in religious services.

The launch of this improved selection system is part of the UAE’s ongoing efforts to modernize its Hajj operations and align with global best practices, guaranteeing that the spiritual journey remains safe, comfortable, and well-organized for all UAE pilgrims.
