Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister visits Syria for first time since civil war

Saudi Arabia's foreign minister, prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, will make his first official visit to the Syrian capital in more than ten years on Tuesday, according to the Syrian government.The kingdom stopped diplomatic ties with Damascus in 2012, following the start of the civil war in Syria. Last week, Syria and Saudi Arabia announced that they were working to resume consular services and flights between the two nations.
