Saudi Arabia has decided to suspend overtime benefits for seven specific job categories within the healthcare sector. The affected positions include medical statistics technicians, home healthcare assistants, administrative assistants, drivers, security guards, messengers, and contract workers.
This directive was communicated to hospital and specialist center directors through a circular based on a Royal Court directive implementing a Cabinet decision regarding the reorganization of allowances and financial benefits. The new regulation, which prohibits both assigning overtime work and paying overtime wages to these seven roles, will take effect from next month.
