KUWAIT MOH EMPLOYS 33,074 EXPATRIATES

Kuwait City: The total number of employees in the Ministry of Health is estimated at 61,353. 28,279 are Kuwaitis and 33,074 are expatriates. There are 9762 doctors, 2298 dentists, 21,490 nursing staff, 1667 pharmacists, 385 auxiliary technical positions, 605 assistant positions, 11,585 administrators, 2893 non-medical technical positions and 10,321 medical technical positions. Of the total 9762 doctors working under the Ministry, 5,702 are expatriates. There are also 4,054 Kuwaitis. Of the dentists, 1718 are Kuwaitis and 580 are expatriates. Most of the pharmacists are Kuwaitis. Of the 841 Kuwaitis, 776 are expatriates. Of the total 21,490 nursing staff, 20,413 are non-Kuwaiti. As Kuwaitis, only 10.77 nursing staff are employed.
