DRUGS ACCOUNT FOR 65% OF CRIME IN KUWAIT, MP OSAMA AL SHAHEEN

Kuwait City:  MP Osama Al Shaheen has said that organized efforts are essential for the society to combat the menace of drugs. He also stressed the need to organize an integrated national program for this. The abolition of the National Anti-Drug Council, which played a key role in curbing drug use and addiction, has led to a lack of coordination between government and other activities. He said the proposal was submitted with the desire to reorganize. 

Drug use poses a great threat to the motherland and its citizens. He pointed out that the use of drugs is adversely affecting the youth who play a major role in the development and progress of the country. Drugs account for 65% of all crime in Kuwait. He said there was a need to prepare an integrated national program to address this serious social catastrophe.
