Misuse of camping tents will not be 'permitted'

KUWAIT CITY :  Since the beginning of the desert camping season in the middle of last month, thousands of tents have been spread across the designated camping sites, including those licensed in accordance with the municipality's guidelines.

However, violators who set up camps without following the instructions have placed an additional burden on the municipality in terms of pursuing and removing the violating camps, with an average of 15 camps being removed per day.

"In just three weeks, the committee managed to remove 250 violating camps, which is approximately 80 camps per week and 10 to 15 camps per day" an informed source from the Spring Camps Committee said.

Part of this was due to complaints from the Ministries of Electricity and Water, as well as the Ministry of Oil.
