Kuwait : The Abdali land border crossing between Kuwait and Iraq reopened after nearly two years of closure due to the Covid-19 repercussions (from February 24, 2020 to December 22, 2021).

According to Al-Rai, who cited sources, people entered and exited the country amid tight security and the operation of all counters in the passports hall, where the process of completing transactions takes only 3 minutes after security checks.

The Ministry of Interior has provided all of the equipment at the port and taken all necessary steps to remove any barriers to travel.
Colonel Walid Al-Azmi, the port administration's director, told Al-Rai that the port is open for departures to Iraq 24 hours a day, but those arriving in Kuwait are entertained for 12 hours a day, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
