Cold weather expected to last until February : Saadoun

KUWAIT: According to Kuwaiti meteorologist and historian Adel Al-Saadoun, the cold weather in Kuwait will most likely last until February.
"Despite the fact that it will not be consistent, cold weather will be experienced this year as a result of global climate changes," he predicted.
"The cold days are just getting started, with a forecast of 4-5 degrees Celsius in the desert."

Minimum temperatures will drop to 2 degrees Celsius in some areas.

"There may be scattered rain showers in some areas of Kuwait by Wednesday," said Saadoun, the head of Fintas Observatory.


According to the Meteorological Department of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, cold weather with light to moderate northwesterly winds of 15-45 km/h and scattered clouds is forecast for coastal areas yesterday.
