Kuwait City: In the recent decade, the National Assembly and cabinet have accomplished a number of things, including proposing, enacting, enforcing, and legislating essential laws and regulations, according to an official quoted in a storey published on Sunday. In his report, Acting Undersecretary for the State Ministry for National Assembly Affairs Dr Ahmad Al-Haifis stated that both executive and legislative authorities have collaborated to pass legislation and projects benefiting the people of Kuwait and improving the country. He confirmed that Kuwait has improved its ranking in several worldwide indicators, with the most notable success being the UN designation of Kuwait as a "global humanitarian centre" and His Highness the late Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as a "humanitarian leader."

Kuwait had also increased its rating in youth development for 2021, ranking first on an Arab level and 27th internationally, he said, adding that Kuwait was first on an Arab level in food security and second in security and quality of life in the Arab area.
