Kuwait City: The Manpower Authority has revoked the license of a company that recruits domestic workers. In January this year alone, 600 complaints were received from domestic workers against employers. Of these, 62 complaints were referred to the Judiciary. The rest of the complaints are being investigated, the authority said.

At the same time, Manpower Authority spokesman Aseel al-Maseed said it had brought about restrictions on procedures for offices and companies that recruit domestic workers. He added that things are being considered in the interests of these offices, companies, workers and owners. The Authority Circular states that the employer should not sign a document or contract with domestic workers which is not specified by the Authority.
