HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE CYCLED 190 KILOMETRES TO INSPIRE OTHERS TO LIVE A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

Abu Dhabi: Hundreds of community members rode 190 kilometres from Abu Dhabi City to Al Ain's Jebel Hafeet summit to raise awareness about the importance of healthy living activities.


Khalifa University of Science and Technology and Abu Dhabi Cycling Club staged the Khalifa University Century Challenge 2022 this week (ADCC).

Cyclists set out from Khalifa University's main campus in the city, passing through significant sites on their way to Al Ain's "Garden City" and finishing with the Jebel Hafeet climb.

 “The challenge aims to raise awareness of cycling among the community, whether as a sport or as a means of transportation, given its many health benefits, both physically and psychologically, and its contribution to preserving the environment,” the organisers said.
