Dubai has announced a four-day holiday for government employees to mark the UAE's 54th National Day (Eid Al Ittihad). The break encompasses December 1-2 as official holidays, combined with the regular Saturday-Sunday weekend, creating an extended celebration period from November 29 to December 2.
The Dubai Government Human Resources Department issued the circular outlining the holiday schedule. However, essential service departments operating on shift systems will maintain services and arrange alternative work schedules for their staff. This announcement follows the earlier declaration by the federal government granting public sector employees holidays on the same dates. The extended break allows residents to fully participate in National Day celebrations commemorating the union of seven emirates formed on December 2, 1971.
